"Gold in September" marks a month dedicated to raising awareness of infant and childhood cancer. Despite advances in research, cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease in children over the age of one.
500 children and adolescents die of cancer each year in France and 6,000 in Europe. While 80% of young patients recover from cancer, 20% of treatments remain unsuccessful.
This year again, Brain Booster supports the Imagine For Margo charity organization, which organizes several events, including the Children Without Cancer charity race in the Parc de Saint Cloud that attracted over 4,500 runners. Each year, the race raises around 1.5 million euros, amount that is donated to research.
